Kristin and I met through her sister, Lauren, who got married in January in Disney World. Both Kristin and Lauren had gotten engaged in the same year and ended up having their weddings only 4 months apart from each other (crazy and also so awesome!). I was lucky enough to be chosen as photographer for both weddings, which meant familiar faces and hugs at Kristin and Kent's April wedding.
Kristin and Kent's wedding was a low-key, cozy, affair and the whole thing was tucked away at Cabell's Mill, a quaint historic property in Centreville, VA. They decided to do a First Look, and planned extra time to see each other privately before the wedding and for portraits. The First Look fit perfectly into their goal for the day, which was to have a relaxed, not-a-care-in-the-world kinda day.
The ceremony was held under an itsy-bitsy tent (the skies were threatening us all day), and even though it was a small wedding, we were packed together, giving the ceremony a sweet intimate feel.
At the reception, tables were blanketed with deep purple linens, and there were dots of silver sparkles everywhere. Yay sparkles!
And the rest of the evening was as it should be…full of laughter, dancing, great food, and happiness.
Congratulations Kristin & Kent! And thank you so much for trusting Ruben and me with your wedding day photos. We had such a great time getting to know your families and friends.
