Ducks, Tunnels, & Giggles | Midlothian, VA

Sydney is the daughter of Kelly, my very uniquely special childhood day care teacher.  Kelly was like a big sister to my brother and me. She was not the kind of big sister that teases and embarrasses her little brother and sister, she was the kind that listened when we talked, ate when we ate, and played as hard as all of the kids at daycare combined (she's a natural quarterback). We lost touch with her when we moved out of the city to rural Hanover County, but my brother, parents and I often thought of her and wondered how she was doing.  Well thanks to a chance meeting in a downtown Richmond restaurant 4 years ago (I think...ah time goes too quickly!) and Facebook, Kelly and I were able to reconnect and not only has she has become one of the biggest cheerleaders of my business (thank you Kelly!!! :), she is still one of the most caring and energetic people I know. I'm so happy to have wound up in the lucky position of getting to shoot portraits of her incredibly lively and beautiful daughter, Sydney. "Let's go to the tunnel, Mom!" Sydney suggested so away we went.  We got to the tunnel and she took off.  No time for me to say, "Hey, Sydney let's try this..." But that's one of the wonderful things about Sydney, she doesn't hesitate to go where she wants, say what she's thinking, and share her discoveries with those around her. You can see her soaking up every experience, and then glancing at you with a twinkle in her eye as if to say, "Are you seeing this too!?"  Here are our adventures...

Kelly - Thank you so much for believing in me and my business, and for sharing your beautiful Syd with me for an afternoon.  I can't wait to get another dose of Sydney's contagious curiosity. :) Love you!!
